- Under Clifton Suspension Bridge, then up ramp and over swing bridge
- Follow through south of Bristol following Bristol Airport, Taunton A38
- 2.5 miles outside Bristol, straight over traffic lights at B3130 junction.
- 300 metres after traffic lights, turn left onto B3130 for Winford
- Through Winford, on 2 miles, then right at mini-roundabout, for Chew Stoke
- At T-Junction turn right and continue through Chew Stoke
- Go past Chew Valley Lake on LHS
- 2nd left after Blue Bowl pub
- Left at T-junction in West Harptree
- After 200 metres, right onto B3114 towards Chewton Mendip
- ¾ mile after East Harptree, first right
- After 1/4 mile, continue past turning on right
- At staggered crossroad, straight over and up hill
- Turn into wide driveway on left towards top of hill
From M5 Northbound
- Exit at Junction 25 Taunton
- Follow signs around north of Taunton for Glastonbury, Bridgwater
- Leave Taunton area on A38 Bridgwater
- Towards end of dual carriageway, turn right onto A361 signed Glastonbury
- Cross Somerset Levels, then right at T-junction onto A39 for Street, Wells
- Follow A39 through Street, Glastonbury by-pass and on for Wells
- Follow local directions From Wells, below
From M3/A303 Westbound
- Avoid Stonehenge area at peak holiday travel times
- Turn right off A303 onto A360 at first roundabout after Stonehenge
- • Turn left at next roundabout by Stonehenge car park for Shrewton, A360
- • Leaving Shrewton, turn left onto B390 and continue through Chitterne
- At T-junction turn right onto A36
- Follow Warminster by-pass then left onto A362
- Follow A362 through Frome and Radstock
- At traffic lights in Farrington Gurney turn left onto A37 (A39) towards Wells.

From Bristol
- Do not attempt Bristol in the rush hour
- Leave Bristol on A37 Wells road
- Continue through Farrington Gurney on A37. Then as Local Directions below.
From Bath
- Leave Bath on A4 towards Bristol (NOT A431)
- Left at The Globe roundabout onto A39 towards Wells and Weston
- Fork left at Marksbury traffic lights onto A39 Wells (main road becomes A368 Weston)
- After Hallatrow, left at traffic lights onto A37 Wells/Shepton Mallet
- Continue through Farrington Gurney
- Then as local directions below.
From Weston-super Mare and the West
- A368 through Blagdon and continue towards Bath
- Right onto B3114 at West Harptree
- Pass East Harptree, then first right
- After 1/4 mile, continue past turning on right
- At staggered crossroad, straight over and up hill
- Turn into wide driveway on left towards top of hill
From Wells
- Head towards Bristol on A39
- Continue for about 1 mile after traffic lights (Ploughboy Inn)
- Entering Chewton Mendip, turn left signed Cheddar
- Follow Local Directions from|: After 1/3 mile, take right hand turn, signed Harptree...
Local directions
- Travelling south on A37/A39
- At top of hill after Farrington Gurney continue towards Wells (A39)
- Leaving Chewton Mendip up hill through trees, turn right, signed Cheddar (by Waldegrave Estate sign)
- After 1/3 mile, take right hand turn, signed Harptree, just before road bends left (turn in front of chevrons)
- After 1/3 mile, fork right through a dip in front of Coles Farm
- After 1 mile go past red postbox on right
- Take the next right at signpost (signed Harptree).
- The drive to Lilycombe Farm is iabout 100 metres on the right hand side.
- Follow arrows on driveway.
Please do not use the private drive to Lilycombe Farm.
